my lil present

one fine day, or rather normal actually
i took a knife to my chest
carved out that lil organ
and made such an awful mess

it was covered in slippery red stuff
so i cleaned it up good and gently
then dried it off with cotton and silk
then wrapped it up all pretty

to his house i nervously went
the lil organ made such a noise
thumping faster and faster in the box
but i coolly kept my poise

left it at his doorstep and knocked
then ran and hid in waiting
out he steps right unto my lil box
SPLAT! Oh...no more beating...

he cursed under his breath
scraped his shoes off on the stairs
then hurried back inside
urgent to return to worldly affairs
